So I have this idea for a movie...
It's about this guy named Bret Foreman and he is a spy for the C.I.A. in the 1940's. The character is this charming, delightfully evil, womanizing, smoking, drinking, tough talking and no nonsense kind of guy. He's a real scumbag, but deep down actually has a heart of sorts. His father, John Foreman, was a big wheel in the CIA during prohibition, but got killed during a raid right before his son was to get in the CIA. John Foreman was known as a great man who always did the right thing and was very successful in his work. Everybody loved this guy, but those traits didn't fit with Bret by anymeans. At the beginning of the film you see Bret walking into a diner to meet a girl on a blind date. Bret's neighbor is a widow around the age of 60 or so and is really the only one in the world who thinks highly of Bret. she sees something in him no one else does, not even Bret sometimes. So his neighbor is always cooking him diner, helping him take care of his place and always trying to help him find ms. right so he will clean up his act. Most of the dialouge in this film is the inner thoughts of Bret. Very little actually spoken dialouge in this film and it will be shot in black and white... give it that Humphrey Bogart/Maltese Falcon sort of feel to it. He walks into the diner and meets the woman and per usual ends up taking her home that evening, but for reason still has respect for her and enjoys her company. In the morning Bret gets a phone call and has to leave right away to an emergency. His parter was shot and killed by the Nazi's. So basically, the plot of this movie is Bret has to deal with his inner termoil to be able to find the people who killed his partner, live up to his dad's reputation and get that monkey of his back, manage to get the girl and survive in what I'm calling "The Long Road."
